Dr. Pedro Cordero
Founder, Mano a Mano Relief
Dr. Pedro Cordero founded Mano a Mano Relief in 2007 after witnessing the overwhelming medical and educational needs of underserved communities during a mission trip to the Philippines. What began as a single act of compassion has grown into an international humanitarian effort dedicated to saving lives and restoring dignity through the donation of medical equipment, supplies, and services.
With a background in medicine and decades of service to patients both in the United States and abroad, Dr. Cordero has combined clinical expertise with a deep commitment to humanitarian work. His leadership drives every mission, ensuring that resources reach those who need them most — efficiently, ethically, and with empathy.
Under his direction, Mano a Mano Relief has expanded its reach to multiple countries across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Dr. Cordero continues to guide the organization’s mission with an unwavering belief that even small acts of service can transform entire communities.
Advisory Board
(Volunteer-Based)
Mano a Mano Relief is supported by a small, dedicated group of volunteer advisors — including healthcare professionals, educators, and community advocates — who lend their time, expertise, and insight to further the organization’s humanitarian goals. Each advisor contributes to project planning, medical mission coordination, and community partnerships that sustain Mano a Mano Relief’s long-term impact.

Medical Volunteers
Our volunteer medical teams — composed of doctors, nurses, and health specialists — play an essential role in every mission. They bring not only their skills, but also their hearts, to the field: performing surgeries, delivering supplies, training local caregivers, and ensuring lasting change for patients and families who would otherwise go without care.
If you’re a licensed medical professional interested in joining future missions, please reach out through our Volunteer Inquiry Form.
Community Partners
Mano a Mano Relief collaborates with hospitals, clinics, and local organizations that share our mission to improve healthcare access worldwide. These partnerships make it possible to repurpose medical equipment, deliver aid efficiently, and strengthen health systems in some of the world’s most underserved regions.
If your organization would like to donate equipment or explore partnership opportunities, please get in touch.
